Course Objective: Compare contending theories of international relations related to changes in the world system from the 1910s to the present.

Assignment: Please write a one-entry annotated bibliography on the Stephen Walt (1998) article from the week 1 reading. The article is a time-tested classical writing that continues to have relevance in studying International Relations theories. Begin by providing a citation for it in the reference list format of Chicago. Next, write a paragraph that summarizes the problem being addressed in the article, the purpose of the article, and the conclusions made. In other words, why did the author decide to write this article? What does the author hope to achieve? What does the author argue, and how does he support his argument? What did the author conclude in the end? In a final paragraph, critique the argument of the author. What do you agree and/or disagree with? Was there anything that surprised you or changed your point of view?

Requirements: Your submission should be approximately 1-2 pages long (double-spaced), free from errors, and demonstrate your understanding of the material and topic, in-text citations, reference page,

Article: Stephen M. Walt, “International Relations: One World, Many Theories,” Foreign Policy, Issue 110 (Spring 1998), pp.29-35+.
