Objective 2: Upon successfully completing the require 160 hours of this practicum rotation, my goal is to acquire the necessary skills to effectively assess and diagnose a variety of mental health conditions in at least 30 patients across the lifespan. I intend to achieve this by collaborating with my preceptor and utilizing the DSM-5-TR manual as a valuable resource. This experience will enable me to formulate tailored psychotropic treatment plans for individuals under my care.
Objective 3: My goal is to independently create personalized treatment plans for a minimum of 30 patients, starting from the assessment phase. My aim is to proficiently generate comprehensive psychiatric evaluations with minimal guidance from my preceptor. I also strive to acquire the knowledge of appropriate documentation for thorough psychiatric evaluations. Recognizing the importance of accurate documentation, I understand that it not only enhances patient care but also contributes to expediting their recovery process.
