From database creation until the fourth week of April 2020, the authors searched PubMed, Embase, PsycINFO, Web of Science, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Global Index Medicus, African Index Medicus, and African Journals Online. They focused on quasi-experimental research, cluster randomized trials, and randomized trials of depression detection therapies in primary care. A PROSPERO pre-registered protocol (CRD42020166291) was followed throughout the evaluation.

Methodology and sample size seem to be suitable for answering the research question. After completing a thorough search across a wide number of databases and carrying out a systematic review, the research comprised a substantial number of articles.
