Assessment Description

By analyzing the history of education and learning about fundamental changes in U.S. educational systems, educators will better understand the current state of education and be able to hypothesize and implement positive change. Throughout this program of study, you will be asked to support assignments with relevant scholarly resources and cite those appropriately. Learning to navigate the GCU Library  for research and being able to cite the research appropriately based on the designated style are essential skills you will apply in each course.

Using the topic Resources and your own research, complete the “Educational Reform Analysis Chart” explaining the pros and cons of each reform. In addition, select two educational reforms from your research and describe recommendations for needed changes.

Support your chart with at least five scholarly resources.

While APA Style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

You are required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite. A link to the LopesWrite technical support articles is located in Class Resources if you need assistance.
