ppt for Public speaking course

The Task:

Create an 5-8 slide PowerPoint for something you can teach us!  Like how to teach your cat to use the toilet, how to crochet a wool hat ( something useful for the rest of us ). It can be silly or serious. Incorporate some fictitious (but plausible) data in the form of graphs, charts, and tables that you would use in order to help us retain the info – especially some sort of flow chart.

Focus on the following topics:

  • The Problem (why you need to know how to do this!)
  • The Solution (your product)
  • Market Opportunity (why is it beneficial to know this skill)
  • Sales Pitch (attention grabber/hook, sales techniques, strong close)
  • Summary and Thank You

Grading:

Idea:

  • Topic idea, and usefulness   /10
  • Use of Charts/Tables/Graphics   /10
  • Aesthetics (themes and visuals)   /5
