***** PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL WORK IS AUTHENTIC*****

****** THIS ASSIGNMENT HAS 3 PARTS / PLEASE LABEL EACH PART SEPARATELY WITH REFERENCES WHEN COMPLETED******

PART 1- Module 3- DISCUSSION – (SHEILA)-

This discussion board post will take the form of a debate about the meaning and role of equality and diversity in workplace policies. For this debate, you will need to read the assigned readings and do some additional searches online. What you will debate is the following: what role should diversity play in a company’s policies regarding hiring, promotion, and termination? The rules are as follows:Team assignments: “team for equality of opportunity only”

Points of agreement between the teams1. Both teams agree that discrimination based on race/ethnicity, sex, nationality, etc. is wrong and that policies need to be put in place to prevent discrimination as well as to address it wherever it arises.2. Both teams agree on equality of opportunity, i.e. that people from diverse ethnic/racial backgrounds, nationalities, and both sexes (male/female) should have equality of opportunity. So, it’s not that one team believes that there should be equal opportunity but the other team does not. Rather, both teams agree on equality of opportunity.

Points of disagreement between the teams:3. Where the team disagree is whether there should also be equality of outcome. The first team needs to argue against equality of outcome, whereas the second team needs to argue for equality of outcome. This is the debate topic.

Please look up articles, lectures, or any other resource online that can help you formulate your arguments. If you cite anything or use anyone else’s materials, please ensure that you provide in text reference.

Disclaimer: In real-world cases, the terms are usually not this stark between these two positions. There are a lot of ‘graded’ positions between the two. But for the purposes of this ethical exercise, the class is debating two rigid and mutually opposed positions as an informative pedagogical exercise. Put on your boxing gloves yet again; it’s Round 3, and it’s time to rumble!

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Your initial post should be at least 200 words, formatted and cited in current APA style with support from at least 2 academic sources.

PART 1- Module 3- DISCUSSION – (VAL)- An Overview of Strategies to a Comprehensive ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT Intervention

What are some of the strategies that are integral to a comprehensive ORANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT intervention? If you have been part of such an intervention either as a leader or participant/employee, describe your experience and support it with personal examples. If you have never experienced such an intervention but were asked to participate and lead such an activity, what are the main strategies you would employ and why?

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Your initial post should be at least 200 words, formatted and cited in current APA style with support from at least 2 academic sources.

PART 2- Module 3- ASSIGNMENT- (VAL)-

In ORG 499A, you identified a topic, problem, concern, or “something” at your work or community (DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN THE WORKPLACE) that needed a solution, improvement, clarification, remediation, or more research. You also stated the reason why you chose to undertake this research problem, suggested what might have led to the problem, and briefly explained why the perceived problem needed an answer or resolution.

In ORG 499B, you are expected to provide evidence that supports the existence of the problem identified earlier. This evidence will be provided in Assignment #3 and Assignment #4.

Assignment #3

For Assignment #3, you will use the St. Thomas University E-library to find 8 research articles on your research problem/topic.  Next, you will use the Template for an Annotated Bibliography ATTACHED. (in Supplementary Readings, also attached) to create and submit a list of the 8 research studies selected.  REMEMBER, those research sources MUST be directly related to your research problem and cannot be sourced from GOOGLE!

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: In the end, you will submit 8 individual completed Templates. See Developing an Annotated Bibliography document attached, and formatted and cited in current APA style.
