Get familiar with the 5 bases for segmenting consumer markets. Imagine you have a new product you want to sell. Describe the product and explain how you could use geographic, demographic, psychographic, benefits, AND usage rate characteristics to segment your market. Explain why you would or would not use each base for your product. Some have several sub-categories so be specific. Assume we know what the segmentation bases mean so there is no need to explain them in detail.
Required: One main post, separated into six sections – one for the product and one each for the segmentation bases. (350+ words total). Separate the sections with a space. Address all questions/directions. Use the product name as header for the first section and the names of each base as headers for the other sections (in bold font).
